2013 A field work and a research training focusing on cultural issues in Jember and Banyuwangi, East Java, as part of the Outstanding Students Competition at Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia. Output: A paper on hybridity of a traditional music from Jember, awarded the 2nd best article in the competition and later published in 2017 as a conference proceeding in English.

2012 A research training for selected students on good governance and qualitative data analysis by Universitas Indonesia’s Board of Trustees (Students element), followed by actual collaborative research. Output: An analytical paper in Indonesian, on good governance practices at Universitas Indonesia.

2011 A workshop for groups of students writing a scientific problem-solution paper (PKM-GT) by the Students’ Board of Executives, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Indonesia. Output: A 15-page paper in Indonesian, granted an incentive from the Directorate of Research and Community Services, the Ministry of Education and Cultures, Indonesia.
